Community

Beavercreek Women's League seeks annual applications from community organizations requesting consideration for grant money. Interested groups are required to submit a letter with their request, on their organization's letterhead or logo stationery, and include the following information: 

  • Contact name and telephone number
  • Purpose of the organization
  • Amount requested and how the money will be used
  • 501(c)(3) status (yes or no)


Applications are due by May 1, 2023. Late submissions will not be considered. Grant decisions will be made by June 30, 2023. Please check back closer to the date, as the actual dates might be adjusted. Generally grant amounts are in the range of $50 to $500.  Beavercreek Women's League is a nonpartisan organization and as such cannot accept applications from Political Action Committees.

2022 Greene County Hall of Fame Nomination  See nominees 

 

Long time BWL member and past president Patti Phillips has been selected as one of five women to be  inducted into the Greene County Women's Hall of Fame on  September 24, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Walnut Grove Country Club.  Congratulations, Patti!

  

This marks the 42nd year for these honors to be given.  Other women receiving the honor this year are Marsha Bayless and Jean Dungy Shoates of Xenia, Teresa Bondurant of Yellow Springs, and Hope Taft of Spring Valley.

 

If you are interested in attending, tickets are $25 and reservations, due by September 17, will be held at the door. Checks made payable to Greene County Women's Hall of Fame  should be sent to P.O. Box 703, Fairborn, OH 45324.  The two menu options for the day are Trio Salad (egg/tuna/chicken) and Vegetarian Garden Salad.  And new this year:  Please specify your menu choice on your check to allow the kitchen to better plan the options.   If paying for more than one, specify for each person please.
